This is a robust program designed to offer an authentic experience to Live like a Monk and Train like a Warrior; to let go and discover the extraordinary within you:

  • Traditional Shaolin martial arts for full body conditioning, power and flexibility

Exclusive Shaolin performance

Participants will have the privilege to a 30-minute breathtaking Shaolin performance by the universally acclaimed Shaolin warrior monks. Usually sold-out shows within China and on overseas tours.


Room & Food

In the remote village of Shaolin Temple, conditions of life are fairly basic.

  • 6 nights accommodation in a single room with private western toilet & hot water shower at a hostel, located at 15 minutes walking distance and within temple compound. Twin / Double room available on request.

  • Check-in on Sunday 13 April. Check-out on Saturday 19 April 2025.

  • Food will essentially be vegetarian and Chinese style. Breakfast & lunch will be at the temple together with the Shaolin monks - participants will be briefed on etiquette. Dinner will be relaxed and catered at the hostel.


Logistics

Return minibus transfers included from Zhengzhou airport (CGO) OR train station to Shaolin Temple (approx. 100 kms distance).

Due to restricted access into Shaolin Temple for security reasons, we are allowed to only 1 shuttle for arrival and 1 shuttle for departure. It would be helpful to coordinate arrival & departure flight times.


The Participant

This event is perfect for you who want to make 2025 count, take the road less travelled and explore beyond your comfort zones. A fair level of fitness is required. Preparation is key. It is essential to have a physical and mental preparation at least 3-4 weeks prior to event.

Participants will be attired in traditional monk clothes and required to observe temple etiquette at all times. Training is rigorous and a good level of fitness is required. Participants are expected to practise punctuality and self-discipline.

Shaolin 2025 has been crafted with care and consideration for the EO audience, with a strong focus on quality in experience and take-home value, while keeping a delicate balance, respecting the layers of cultural etiquettes of the Shaolin Temple.

The success of this rare and highly experiential event is important to us.


Terms & Conditions

Full amount is required to be paid 90 days in advance to reserve a place on the program. The program fee is not refundable once paid. However, it can be transferred to another person on informing the Event Champion.

This event is only open for EO members, spouses and children of members who are 18 and above. Please contact the event champion directly.

All participants will be expected to sign the standard liability waiver in order to participate in the event.

Maximum number of participants: 20

Exclusions:
• Flights to and from Zhengzhou (CGO)
• Travel Insurance
• Any personal treatments like massage, acupuncture, traditional Chinese medicine (optional)
